A good Nut Graf should contain the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, and HOW of a story. It should also have the most important facts stated so they can be elaborated on in the rest of the story. The Nut Graf will be at the beginning of a story and contain at least one to two sentences. But because this is only the beginning of the story in the Nut Graf the writer must remember not the tell the ending of the story so the reader will have to read the whole story to find out the ending.

NUT GRAF
Nut Graf is a term from the American English terminology of journalism. The Nut Graph is called the Nut Graf because the story should be summarized in a small nutshell, not too long and short. The Nut Graf is the most important aspect and the lead of a story. It explains to the reader what the author is going to write about and why the story is important. The Nut Graf may include other facts and should create a smooth transition to the rest of the story.
